Sana Mumtaz

Sana Mumtaz is an academician and researcher with more than eight years of experience working in higher education institutions. She has worked with faculty, administration, and students of Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Pakistan, United Kingdom, and United Arab Emirates in various capacities.  

She earned her PhD in Business Administration and Management from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Air University. She is a qualitative data expert with expertise in NVivo software. Her research interests include cross-cultural adjustment, counterproductive work behaviors, socio-psychological change experiences and leadership. 

Sana has worked as a human resources consultant and action-based researcher with leading organizations such as Plan International, Canada, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, and more than 20 other Canadian organizations.

  • Worked as part of the international business team in Emerging Scholars from Emerging Market Program (ESEMP), organized by the Academy of International Business (2022-24).  
  • Received recognition for developing a new bachelor program for College of Business Administration, Umm Al Quwain University (2023). 
  • Recipient of Research Recognition Award in the management domain, Umm Al Quwain University (2022).  
  • Received funding for completing a qualitative consultancy-based project titled ‘Outcomes of Unpaid Care Work (UPCW)’ for Plan International Canada (2022). 
  • Submitted an industrial report to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan and 50+ Chinese organizations regarding Chinese expatriate adjustment in Asia (2020).
