UNF’s MM program has NCMA designation from CIM | Chartered Managers Canada.

Students currently enrolled in the MM program are entitled to a free Associate Membership with the association, giving UNF students the chance to belong to Canada’s chartered management and leadership association while earning their degree

Specializations

Tailor your learning to suit your career ambitions through two program specializations.

Entrepreneurship:

Learn to think like an entrepreneur. Identify business opportunities, develop business plans, and implement successful strategies. You’ll get a practical opportunity to apply this knowledge to starting up a for-profit or social enterprise.

Emerging Technology:

Gain the skills needed to understand the countless opportunities emerging technologies present to business operations now and into the future. You’ll develop a technology proposal and implementation plan for a for-profit or non-profit organization.

Academic Information

Applicants must meet the following minimum conditions for admission: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Completion of a recognized undergraduate degree equivalent to the four-year honours degree standard in an appropriate specialization, or relevant bridging studies, with CGPA of 3.0 (on 4.33 scale) or better

Document Checklist

Applicants must submit:

  • A completed application form
  • Official transcripts from all post- secondary institutions attended
  • Official documentation confirming professional designations, where applicable
  • Proof of English language proficiency, if applicable

International Information

Applicants who completed undergraduate studies outside Canada must also submit: 

  • Certified translations of any documents not in English
  • Documentation confirming award of their previous degree(s), if not already indicated on official transcripts
  • A credential evaluation from a recognized service, if required by the registrar

Tuition Information

Choosing to pursue a university education is a big commitment that impacts every aspect of your life – including your finances. Our fees are determined by the total cost of individual credits per academic year. All fees are listed in Canadian dollars and these rates are subject to change. 

Scholarships & Awards

The Office of the Registrar had dedicated $5 million in scholarships, awards and financial support to students in 2024. Entrance Awards are for newly admitted international and domestic students while Academic Scholarships are for those entering the second term of their program.

Do I need a business background for this program?

We encourage anyone with an interest in management to apply. The MM is an opportunity for you to augment your undergraduate degree from any discipline with a strong foundation in business principles and management studies, helping you prepare to become the type of well-rounded leader the world needs.

Will I gain practical experience?

There are several opportunities for you to gain practical experience through this program, including internships, work-integrated learning opportunities and capstone research projects. Do I need to take the GRE or GMAT?

We do not use standardized testing as part of the admission process for our graduate degrees. We look at your academic record from your undergraduate studies during the application process. See our admissions page for more information about our requirements.

* How fast cant can I complete my Master of Management degree?

At UNF, full-time students can complete their Master of Management degree in as little as 15 months, dependent on course availability. The standard length of time to complete the Master of Management degree is 18 months.

Your master of management courses are specifically tailored by industry experts to equip you with the training and knowledge you need for today, and the future.

User Experience Design 
Building on established theories, as well as industry best practices, this course will focus on product and service design through the lens of customer needs.

Data Analytics for Management 
Develop hands-on skills with basic statistical and financial analysis that can be applied to decision making is a business setting.

Strategy and Entrepreneurship 
Reviewing basic frameworks connecting technology and strategy, it will introduce students to emerging technologies, their impact and trajectory as well as reinforcing the importance of technology, disruption and innovation.

Technology Trends and Applications 
Examines technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Internet of Things and their potential to transform organizations across sectors.

Explore how technologies are used in organizations and the core elements of assessing the potential of technology to support business goal and objectives.   

Capstone Project: Technology Consulting Study  
An opportunity to synthesize and apply knowledge and skills regarding the feasibility assessment, development and implementation planning for new technology in an organization.   

Financing New Ventures
Explore the sources of financing for start-ups at different states, the terms and conditions and criteria for accessing funds and options available to start-ups as well as the considerations in developing a financial pitch.    

Finding Business Opportunities
A focus on concepts, tools and designs/models as a means for researching, identifying, building and utilizing skills and competencies to develop a new business idea.   

Capstone project: Developing a Business Plan
Students will develop a for-profit or social enterprise plan and pitch for funding, working in cooperation with an incubator or accelerator.
