Dena Atallah

Dena Atallah is a motivated global health professional with a focus on globalization and equity in health, considering the policy level impacts on priority health topics.  

She holds a Master’s of Global Health from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Brock University. Dena is experienced in developing strong stakeholder relationships and addressing problems with a multidisciplinary approach. 

Prior to joining University of Niagara Falls Canada, Dena completed a practicum with Solidarity Engineering, supporting the management of a Menstrual Hygiene Management project in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.  

She is passionate about the importance of evidence-based policy and practice, and using knowledge to improve the health of all individuals, paying close attention to systemic impacts on marginalized populations. 

With a focus on empowering students to develop critical thinking skills, self-awareness, and a sense of agency, as an educator Dena acts as a facilitator, encouraging active engagement, reflection, and exploration.
