University of Niagara Falls Canada extends global reach through partnership with Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) has entered into a new partnership agreement with the Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH) in Elche, Spain.

The agreement was officially signed on Oct. 18 by Cyndi McLeod, CEO of Global University Systems Canada and UNF’s inaugural president, and Vicente Micol Molina, Vice Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation at UMH.

In recognition of the two institutions’ shared vision of innovative education and student success, its purpose is to establish a framework for academic collaborations and other partnership projects. This may include articulation and pathway opportunities, joint educational or cultural programs and projects, semester aboard programs, short-term study and visit programs, student and/or faculty exchanges, or any other mutually beneficial initiatives.

The occasion marked an increase in UNF’s global reach, which it has previously achieved through partnerships with academic institutions in Colombia, Dubai, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

“Taking this step with UMH emphasizes UNF’s dedication to creating unique international education opportunities,” said McLeod. “We look forward to seeing the doors this partnership will open.”

The Universidad Miguel Hernández is committed to continuous innovation and excellence. It offers 78 undergraduate and graduate programs across its four campuses, which are in the municipalities of Altea, Elche, Orihuela, and Sant Joan d’Alacant in the Province of Alicante.

Located in downtown Niagara Falls, UNF equips its graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to prepare graduates for leadership in the digital world. Its five academic programs are designed to meet the demands of business and industry now and in the future.
