Job Title: International Student Recruitment Advisor (5 Vacancies)
Location: Niagara Falls, ON (Hybrid)
Reports To: Associate Director, Student Recruitment
Position Summary
UNF is a leading group of educational institutions committed to providing high-quality education and empowering students to achieve their academic and career goals. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Recruitment Advisor.
As a Student Recruitment Advisor, you will play a key role in advancing the global presence of our institution by attracting and guiding prospective international students. This position involves strategic outreach, personalized support, and a deep understanding of international education systems.
Responsibilities
- Daily correspondence via telephone and email with prospective students.
- Identifying and understanding student needs via one-to-one consultation.
- Providing a bespoke and consultative service to all students, assessing requirements, and making recommendations in line with individual needs.
- Managing student applications from original inquiry through to payment.
- Working with prospective students, applicants, and their families to provide high quality advising on institute’s admission requirements, academic programs, and school life.
- Maintain a conversion rate on all types of inquiries from lead to an appointment, appointment to application and application to enrolment / start.
- Accountable for business growth through following up on leads and delivering information to prospective students in a timely manner.
- Providing effective and professional written and oral communication with all prospective students.
- Monitor the application process to ensure efficiency and consistency of the database.
- Meet and exceed annual, monthly, and quarterly starts, referrals, targets, and objectives, as per tenure expectations.
- Responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating the recruitment and sales strategy to meet ambitious targets within agreed budget and timeframes.
- Develop and implement an effective, targeted schedule of recruitment and sales activity to raise awareness and interest in undergraduate study and increase student numbers.
- Develop effective processes to manage, monitor and convert inquiries generated from campaigns and inquiries from the website, by phone, email, and in-person.
- Manage a database of inquiries and leads, recording all conversion activity, contact details, audience profiles, contact history and decisions and outcomes.
- Weekly reporting listing key operational and recruitment related steps taken, key statistics, any major issues and how they were resolved, challenges and how they were handled.
- Providing regular feedback on quality of leads
- Work in accordance to follow up process set by management.
- Other duties as and when assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Superior teamwork capabilities.
- Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process.
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
- Exceptional work ethic with the ability to initiate and remain on task without supervision.
- Ability to multitask and effectively handle multiple deadlines and projects.
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.
- Experience communicating with non-native English speakers is preferred
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Student Advising or Sales role is required.
- Experience with target, quota and KPI environment.
- Experience within Canadian post-secondary institutions preferred
- Experience recruiting domestic students is desired.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and reporting tools is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
