Position Summary

University of Niagara Falls Canada is looking to hire an experienced and versatile Marketing Manager to join our in-house Marketing and Communications team. Our ideal candidate will help develop, implement, track and optimize our marketing campaigns across all channels (online and offline) to support lead generation efforts including supporting our international and domestic recruitment strategy.

You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution. The Marketing Manager will work with various stakeholders and internal teams to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute various digital marketing campaigns through various channels including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliate and SEO.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs and ROI.
  • Identify trends and insights in digital marketing.
  • Test new campaigns and explore new paid and organic channels to penetrate new markets. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  • Keep track of the budget and optimize the spending.
  • Continue to improve CPLs and conversion rates.
  • Create landing pages and web forms and optimize user experience.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
  • Manage and support the recruitment efforts of the international business developers including the domestic recruitment team in their outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders and external vendors for SWAG orders, printing needs, and other marketing needs.
  • Support the day-to-day management of the website including launching the new website redesign.
  • Develop the University’s email marketing strategy and other omnichannel marketing tools such as WhatsApp, Live Chat etc. Create email templates and chat flows. Create and implement marketing email campaigns. Conduct A/B testing. Manage the launch of marketing tools.
  • Evaluate competitors.
  • Develop and manage the university’s SWAG inventory.
  • Assist with other day-to-day marketing activities and events (including orientations, career fairs, convocation ceremonies, signing ceremonies, open houses etc.) as needed.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings or weekends to support campus events

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and CASL legislation.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, processing figures with spreadsheets and reporting on the campaign results. Being able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience developing and executing complex marketing plans and campaigns.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

  • Post Secondary Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience working in marketing
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (i.e. SalesForce)
  • Experience working in higher education is considered an asset
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords, Facebook campaigns.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, omnichannel marketing tools and events.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
