Building on established theories, as well as industry best practices, this course will focus on product and service design through the lens of customer needs.
Data Analytics for Management
Develop hands-on skills with basic statistical and financial analysis that can be applied to decision making in a business setting.

Financing New Ventures
Explore the sources of financing for start-ups at different states, the terms and conditions and criteria for accessing funds and options available to start-ups as well as the considerations in developing a financial pitch.
Finding Business Opportunities
A focus on concepts, tools and designs/models as a means for researching, identifying, building and utilizing skills and competencies to develop a new business idea.
Capstone project: Developing a Business Plan
Students will develop a for-profit or social enterprise plan and pitch for funding, working in cooperation with an incubator or accelerator.

Sathy Srithar
PhD, MBA, BA.
Associate Dean, Master of Management
Sathy Srithar is the Associate Dean for the Master of Management program. He holds a PhD in Management, Economics, Research, and Information Technology from the University of Salford and has a background in business process management and human resources information systems. He received a Chartered Manager designation from Canadian Institute of Management. Before his academic career, he worked as an IT consultant in various industries.

Academic information
Applicants must meet the following minimum conditions for admission:
Bachelor’s Degree – Completion of a recognized undergraduate degree equivalent to the four-year honours degree standard in an appropriate specialization, or relevant bridging studies, with CGPA of 3.0 (on 4.33 scale) or better

- Official documentation confirming professional designations, where applicable

International information
Applicants who completed undergraduate studies outside Canada must also submit:

- A credential evaluation from a recognized service, if required by the registrar

Do I need a business background for this program?
We encourage anyone with an interest in management to apply. The MM is an opportunity for you to augment your undergraduate degree from any discipline with a strong foundation in business principles and management studies, helping you prepare to become the type of well-rounded leader the world needs.
Will I gain practical experience?
There are several opportunities for you to gain practical experience through this program, including internships, work-integrated learning opportunities and capstone research projects. Do I need to take the GRE?
We do not use standardized testing as part of the admission process for our graduate degrees. We look at your academic record from your undergraduate studies during the application process. See our Admissions page for more information about our requirements.
