The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) has entered a new global partnership with the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua (USMA) in Panama City, Panama.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Oct. 25 by David Gray, Provost and Vice-President, Academic at UNF, and Francisco Blanco, Rector of USMA.
According to the MoU, the collaboration aims to enhance the educational experiences of students from both institutions. These efforts may translate into articulation and pathway progression opportunities, joint educational programs, semester abroad programs, or other mutually agreed upon endeavours.
“Giving our students enriching global educational opportunities allows them to see the impact they can make once they graduate,” said Gray. “This partnership with USMA is one of many that UNF is proud to have made.”
The signing was a result of the UNF Partnership team’s continued commitment to expanding the university’s global reach. More MoUs with international institutions are expected to be finalized soon.
The Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua was founded in 1965 as Panama’s first private university. Through a holistic educational approach that combines national identity, scientific knowledge, Christian ethics, and social commitment, its students are prepared to work as skilled professionals aligned with Panama’s modern needs. It offers a diverse range of programs across six different facilities, which include a central campus and regional sites.
Located in downtown Niagara Falls, UNF prepares its graduates for leadership in a digital world. Its five academic programs are designed to meet the ever-evolving demands of business and industry today and in the future.
