Pre-Med Club launches at University of Niagara Falls Canada

New club aims to help undergraduate students prepare for medical school

Calling all future doctors and health professionals! A new club will soon launch for undergraduate students at the University of Niagara Falls Canada to help them on their journey to medical school.

The Pre-Med Club will provide students with resources, mentorship, and insights into medical education pathways to help them achieve their dreams of entering the medical profession. It will also offer an opportunity for them to connect with peers who share similar aspirations.

The club is being offered in partnership with GUS Medical Schools, Saba University School of Medicine and Medical University of the Americas.

Membership is open to students in the Honours Bachelor of Science – Biomedical Sciences program who are interested in attending medical school. The club will help them become competitive medical school applicants.

Activities will range from hosting mock MCAT exams and medical school interview preparation sessions to reviewing personal statements and offering application guidance. Throughout the academic year, there will be engaging events for club members, including guest lectures from healthcare professionals, medical students, and admissions advisors.

“We are excited to be able to offer the Pre-Med Club for students who are passionate about pursuing a career in medicine,” said Janine Gray, Associate Dean of the Bachelor of Science – Biomedical Sciences program. “This club is another way for the University of Niagara Falls Canada to inspire and prepare the next generation of compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled healthcare providers.”

Club members will gain access to unique opportunities such as clinical shadowing, volunteer projects, research experiences, and leadership roles that enhance their medical school applications and broaden their perspective on the healthcare profession.
