The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is excited to announce its partnership with Google – a collaboration aimed at better preparing students for high-growth, in-demand careers.
This partnership enables UNF to offer students the necessary skills for rapidly evolving career paths in fields like data analytics, project management, IT support, and business intelligence. The Google Career Certificate program offers practice-based training, bridging the gap between academic learning and the professional world. This program is designed to augment the degrees students pursue with additional skills, thereby boosting graduates’ earning potential and job opportunities when they enter the workforce.
“At University of Niagara Falls Canada, our commitment is to ensure quality higher education is accessible to everyone,” said Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada. “This collaboration with Google paves new routes towards degree attainment, providing students with essential credentials for careers in high-demand fields.”
“This new partnership enables UNF to enrich its curriculum with Google Career Certificates, enhancing student employability and aligning with industry-specific specializations. These certificates can be integrated into UNF’s course offerings as either credit or non-credit options and can be included in faculty-led courses or as independent learning opportunities for current and future students,” added David Gray, Provost and Vice-President, Academic at UNF.
This collaboration will offer extensive support to students in their educational journey or transition into the workforce. It includes access to free workshops utilizing Grow with Google’s resources and content.
With over 150 top employers committed to hiring graduates holding Google Career Certificates, this partnership marks a significant step in UNF’s continued dedication to student success and adaptability in a dynamic job market.
