Career Services at the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is excited to announce the launch of a new student job board, designed to connect local businesses and organizations with student job seekers. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between employers and students by offering a centralized platform where work opportunities can be easily accessed and applied for by current UNF students.
The job board provides an exclusive space where students can find job opportunities that match their skills and interests. By focusing on the local job market, the job board is expected to play a crucial role in supporting the local economy while enhancing career development for students.
“Our goal is to encourage meaningful connections between businesses and our student body”, said Kimberly Mikalauskas, career advisor at UNF.
The job board is not only a tool for posting and finding jobs but also a significant step towards strengthening UNF’s community network, by promoting relationships between the university, its students, and the local business community.
“As a career advisor, I have a unique opportunity to connect with our students and learn about their professional journeys,” Mikalauskas added. “Our students come from diverse backgrounds and work experiences. Many of them offer an international perspective and are highly motivated to contribute to the Canadian workforce.”
The UNF student job board is among one of the many initiatives designed to support student growth and development. Employers contributing job opportunities to the UNF job board can be assured they will be connected to students who are dedicated to achieving career goals.
“We are thrilled to launch our student job board at UNF,” said Sam Edgar, student experience manager. “Career Services is an integral part of a student’s overall success, playing a crucial role in linking students with the community and potential employers. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting student success both inside and outside of the classroom. By providing easy access to a wide range of job listings, we aim to empower our students to gain practical experience, build essential skills, and enhance their employability.”
The UNF student job board is now live, and local businesses and organizations are encouraged to utilize this platform to promote their job openings. All submissions are reviewed by the Career Services team.
